3. Vehicle Death Match (VDM)
Definition: Vehicle Deathmatch (VDM) refers to the act of using a vehicle as a weapon to deliberately harm or kill other players or their characters in a roleplay environment. VDM typically disrupts the roleplay experience and is considered a form of trolling or griefing.
Rule:
VDM is strictly prohibited. Players are not allowed to use vehicles to intentionally run over, ram, or kill other players or NPCs without a valid in-character (IC) reason that fits the context of the roleplay scenario.
Accidental collisions due to reckless driving or other IC reasons should be roleplayed out properly. For instance, if a player accidentally hits another character with their vehicle, they should roleplay the consequences, such as calling for medical help or dealing with the aftermath.
Examples of VDM:
Intentional Run-Over: A player sees another player walking down the street and deliberately swerves their car to hit them, without any IC reason or provocation. This is VDM.
Ramming Vehicles: A player uses their vehicle to repeatedly ram into another player's parked car, causing damage or trying to kill the player inside, with no IC justification. This is VDM.
Driving Through Crowds: A player drives at high speed into a crowd of players standing on the sidewalk, causing multiple injuries or deaths. This act disrupts roleplay and is considered VDM.
Non-Examples (Legitimate Scenarios):
IC Justified Action: A player is being attacked by a group of hostile characters and uses their vehicle as a last resort to escape, possibly hitting the attackers in the process. This can be justified depending on the situation and should be roleplayed accordingly.
Accidental Collision: A player loses control of their vehicle during a high-speed chase and accidentally hits another player's character. The collision is not intentional, and the player immediately begins roleplaying the situation, possibly involving emergency services.
Consequences: Players found guilty of VDM may face warnings, temporary bans, or permanent bans depending on the severity and frequency of the offense. All incidents of VDM should be reported to the management team with evidence for appropriate action.
