1. MetaGaming
MetaGaming refers to the act of using out-of-character (OOC) information or knowledge to influence in-character (IC) actions or decisions in a roleplaying game. It involves using information that your character would not realistically know in order to gain an unfair advantage or disrupt the roleplaying experience.
MetaGaming is frowned upon because it breaks the immersion and fairness of the game. It can disrupt the natural flow of storytelling and compromise the integrity of the roleplaying experience for everyone involved.
MetaGaming Can Lead to a Ban depending on the use of metagaming.
Example:
Using knowledge from external sources, such as forums, chat logs, or private messages, to make decisions in the game.
Acting on information obtained through OOC communication, such as using a voice chat to coordinate plans between characters who cannot realistically communicate.
Making assumptions about other characters or their intentions based on OOC knowledge or personal bias.
Using OOC information to target or manipulate other players or characters in the game.
Using Information that you learned on someone's stream.
